NO NOVA CASINO
Storytellers
The Virginia General Assembly is considering a 24/7 casino in Northern Virginia, which would negatively impact the community and local residents.
We asked Northern Virginia residents about what a casino in their area would mean to them…
HERE’S WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY:
“Our family has lived here for almost 30 years … it is a vibrant family and young professional area and people come here because they want to enjoy being close to Washington … but not more traffic and not more issues being brought in that will take away our sanctuary.“
– Cathy G. (Vienna, VA)
Add Your Voice:
“This is not the reason we moved to Virginia from Maryland. I work in Maryland and it would only increase my commute significantly. I cannot afford to add another 30 minutes to my commute … I couldn’t sustain it.”
– Samir K. (Fairfax County, VA)
“Everyday I commute to Tysons. I have lived all around the country and the congestion here is the worst I have ever seen … adding a casino would only make things worse.”
– Duane Bailey (Loudoun County, VA)
Residents agree: NO NOVA CASINO!
“A casino in the area would bring more crime, traffic, pollution and unwanted people to the community.”
